 1: How thick is the piece that slides on the outer part of the window? I have a window that only cracks open about an inch or two?

A: The piece outside the window is only 1.2 inches thick, and can be used even if the window can only be opened a small part.

 2:How do you change the rubber strip?

A: All you need to do is pull the rubber strip from the magnetic window cleaner and insert a new rubber strip along the slot.

3:Hi! I live in an old house, some are old single pane windows, others new double pane windows (about 3/4” thickness). Do the tools work for both?

A: Yes, this tool is effective. If it is a single-layer glass, I suggest you choose 0.3"-1". If it is a double-layer glass, I suggest you choose 0.3"-1.2".
